Carramar Stanthorpe is an aged care facility that offers a range of single and companion accommodation options. They take a ‘person-first’ approach – and it’s this commitment to the individual that sees so many accommodation options on offer. JoinPro was pleased to assist Carramar with a 66-bed extension to the existing facility, bringing the project from design to completion.
The Details
We added our expertise at the design phase to ensure the extension would be user-friendly and practical, while being cost-effective.
This was a large and complex project, involving two levels of joinery across three buildings. Areas included individual rooms, suite rooms and associated communal lounges, living and kitchen areas.
Each communal kitchen has thoughtfully designed cabinetry, low enough for residents to reach and use safely.
In resident rooms, built in cupboards allowed for plenty of storage, while built in shelving provides a way for residents to personalise their space and display their most precious items. We also designed and built around technology needs – including spaces for extra powerpoints, television and nurse call communication systems.
The result was a seamless experience across shared and private spaces and an extension that adds comfort and extra functionality for residents and ensures Carramar remains one of the most attractive living facilities in the region.
